We use the cookies needed to keep the website secure and help you use it. We do not add advertising cookies or tracking analytics.
Cookies are small pieces of information your browser stores. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, but doing so may stop login, forms or your current activity from working.
Cookies on Tutor Scotland
Forms and current activities
The session cookie helps protect forms and remembers the activity you are working on. It normally lasts for your browser session.
Staying logged in
The __Host-tutorscot_account cookie keeps your account logged in. It lasts no longer than 12 hours. Your login also expires after 30 minutes without activity, and logging out ends it.
Resetting your password
The __Host-tutorscot_recovery cookie links a password reset to the browser that requested it. It lasts up to 10 minutes and is cleared when the reset finishes or fails.
These cookies are first-party cookies, which means Tutor Scotland sets them. On the hosted website they are sent over secure connections and cannot be read by page scripts.
Payments
When you continue to payment or manage a subscription, you move to Stripe’s website. Stripe uses its own cookies and similar tools to run payments and help prevent fraud. Its Cookie Policy explains its technologies and choices. We do not load Stripe’s payment scripts on our ordinary information pages.
Other browser storage
Our website does not use advertising pixels, tracking analytics, third-party embeds or an offline service worker. Your saved learning progress is held in your account, rather than in local browser storage.
