Tutor Scotland is a Scottish learning platform. It brings focused practice, useful feedback and clear next steps together so pupils can keep improving between lessons.
Why it exists
English improves through practice, but it is not always easy to know what to practise or how to improve an answer. Tutor Scotland gives pupils a clear next step and explains feedback in straightforward language.
English as the foundation
Tutor Scotland began with English and now supports National 5 and Higher pupils. Each level has its own course guidance and practice, so pupils work with material suited to the course they are studying.
Alongside classroom teaching
Tutor Scotland supports the work pupils do with their English teacher. It does not replace lessons, a teacher’s professional judgement or the course materials used in school. Teachers remain best placed to understand an individual pupil and their classwork.
